The conference will take place at Rolduc Abbey

The abbey is situated at the Dutch-German border in the city of  Kerkrade in the Netherlands (connected to the town of Herzogerath in Germany) and is furnished with modern congress and hotel accommodations (150 rooms), restaurant, several bars, and some sport facilities. We are convinced that the abbey will provide an ideal atmosphere and optimal ambiance for informal discussions.

Rolduc abbey is an excellent departure point for sightseeing in connection with the meeting. For instance, The Ardennes, Eifel Mountains and the cities of Aachen (D) and Maastricht (NL) are nearby and worthwhile destinations for day-trips.
Maastricht is a city dating back to the roman times, with several medieval squares housing hundreds of pavement café’s and restaurants. Its unique and lovely character is quite a tourist attraction.

The city of Aachen, at the German side of the border, the city of Emperor Charlemagne, is proud of its medieval center.

Nearby International Airports are Brussels (B) (100 km), Düsseldorf (D) (90 km), Cologne (D) (100 km) and Amsterdam (NL) (220 km), all connected via Intercity trains with either Heerlen (NL) or Aachen (D). Local trains may bring you to Kerkrade (NL) or Herzogenrath (D).

For those who plan to travel by car, the city of Kerkrade and Rolduc Abbey are 4 km away from the motorway A76 Antwerp-Aachen (see map) connecting with motorways to Cologne (D), Brussels (B) and Amsterdam (NL)
